Night Owl Garden is owned and operated by Dude Edwards and Nicky Martin Edwards.
Dude
After working for decades in various trades, Dude is excited to apply his combined experience with growing food, renewable energy, and construction to create Night Owl Garden. Dude grew up around avid organic gardeners and it’s long been his dream to have his own farm and provide high-quality food for his community. His passion is working to leave the land at Night Owl Garden – the farmed fields, the forested land, the wildlife, and the waterway – better than he found it.
Nicky
Nicky manages the business and staffs the booth when we participate at local farmers markets or pop-up markets. She also helps Dude around the farm when she’s not doing her day job, leading a team of talented instructional designers and eLearning developers at a national nonprofit. When she’s not working, Nicky can be found reading, playing futsal, and cooking delicious meals with whatever is in season on the farm.
Lucy
Lucy is our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog. She splits her time between roaming the property protecting our 47 chickens from predators and lounging on the couch. She is always up for cuddles, long walks, and treats.
Sgt. Pepper
Sargent Pepper started out as a barn cat and worked hard to make her way into our home and our hearts. She now shares the couch with Lucy and ensures our property is free of mice inside and out.
Special thanks to the following: Aurora Edwards for creating our website; Chirssy Daly for designing our logo; David Eclaircy and Marcela Moenne-Loccoz for allowing us to use their photos.
